SAFE Grant Raises Suicide Awareness at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Campus

print
The University Counseling Center at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and The College of Nursing and Health Sciences implemented a suicide awareness and prevention program, thanks to a $260,000 SAFE grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).  Efforts included annual Links Across Campus events, in which students came together to spread a giant paper chain with words of encouragement across campus, demonstrating that “[w]e’re all linked together in an unbreakable bond.”
